What are cookies?

Do you know what cookies mean?

Sometimes when we open a website for the first time, we receive a message that says something like;
 " by continuing to browse our, you are agreeing to our use of cookies."

Cookies are the graphic contents on a website, which can be the logo, title, or a JavaScript file. By accepting the cookies, your browser downloads and saves the contents for easy navigation through the website, so that it doesn't have to load the contents from the web server each time you load a webpage(that's why when you refresh a webpage, it loads faster than it did the first time).

It's usually safe to accept cookies for some websites, but we at ten24systems advice that you shouldn't for websites you do not frequently visit, or websites that allows you to download stuff for free.

Most of the free download websites have frequent attackers. They create files in forms of cookies which when downloaded, will infect your device with a virus, or give them access to information stored on your device.
The best thing to do is to clear your cookies everytime you visit a website you do not trust.

To clear cookies on your browser,
-Go to browser history option.
-Click on clear history.
-It will give you the option on clear cookies.
-Check the box and click ok.

Clear your cookies at least once every week and your device is free from malicious attacks. 😉

Like and share if you find this useful.
